Master Ledger: The Ultimate Financial Audit

While it may look like a simple table, the Master Ledger is arguably the most powerful auditing tool in Imprint Core. It acts as the "God View" for your publishing business, unifying every single royalty line-item from every vendor, format, and currency into one standardized, searchable database.

1. The Global Filters

The Goal: Slice and dice your massive financial history to find exactly what you are looking for.

Just like the main Dashboard, the top of the screen contains your Global Filters. These are fully active on the Master Ledger and allow you to instantly narrow down thousands of transactions.

  • From and To Dates: Define the exact timeframe you want to audit.

  • The Dropdowns: Filter the ledger by Vendor, Author, Series, Title, Market, or Format.

What about the other buttons? You will notice that the Income / Units / KENP radio buttons and the Stack By dropdown are grayed out here. Those controls strictly change the visual bar charts on the Dashboard, whereas the Master Ledger is designed to show you all the raw data at once!

2. The Data Grid & Search Bar

The Goal: Review line-by-line financial logic and currency conversions.

The central table displays your filtered transactions. It shows you the exact Date, Author, ASIN/ISBN, Title, Format, Market, and Sale Type (e.g., Sale, KENP, or Refund).

Crucially, it also shows you the math behind the payout:

  • Raw Income & Curr: The original amount and currency reported by the vendor (e.g., $97.20 USD).

  • FX Rate: The exact exchange rate used at the time of calculation.

  • Base Income: The final converted amount in your local publisher currency.

Quick Search: If you don't want to use the dropdown filters, you can use the text box above the table to quickly Search ASIN, Title, Market, or Source. This is perfect for investigating a specific ISBN or looking up all "Amazon.de" sales in seconds.

3. Exporting to CSV (The Power Feature)

The Goal: Extract specific data for your accountant or custom spreadsheet modeling.

To keep the application running lightning-fast, the Master Ledger interface displays your most recent transactions on the screen. However, you can export your data at any time by clicking the cyan Export Results to CSV button in the top right.

⚡ Pro-Tip: Filtered Exports The CSV Export is incredibly smart—it strictly respects your active filters. If you want a backup of your entire business history, leave all filters blank and hit export. If your accountant only wants to see Audiobook sales for a specific author in 2025, simply set those filters at the top of the screen, and the resulting CSV file will contain only those specific records!
